The baptism held on September 26, 2021 at the baptismal pool in the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Rome came as a result of the continuous efforts of the brethren from the Italy South Ecclesiastical District in sharing the true gospel to others these past few months.
“This is a grace of God to the Church because even though we are in a pandemic, the Church continues to reap victories in all its works through His help and the continued guidance of the Church Administration,” said Brother Ronaldo Flor, district Light of Salvation overseer.
Before the actual baptism, the assistant district supervising minister, Brother Vizar Balcita, taught the baptismal candidates the great importance of receiving the holy baptism in the Church Of Christ. He reminded them through the Bible of the traits that God seeks from those seeking to receive the true baptism in order to become the Lord Jesus Christ’s true disciples worthy of His salvation.
Now a full-fledged Church member, Renato delos Reyes, shared, “I’m very emotional and happy, especially in this period of the pandemic, when we had a lot to worry about on whom to lean on. Thanks to the doctrines [upheld in] the Church Of Christ, I have become filled with faith [in God].”
Kelvin Santos, another newly baptized convert, promised to God: “I will unite in all the works in the Church. Thanks be to God because I finally received my baptism in the Church Of Christ.”
In spite of the worsening condition of the world, the brethren’s steadfastness and firm faith in this part of the world is a testament that they are always one with the Church Administration in all the holy endeavors of the Church, especially the intensified propagation of God’s words. — With reports from INC News Section
