South African health care officials went to the UNLAD Garment Factory in Qwaqwa, Free State, South Africa on October 11, 2021 to have the workers vaccinated against the 2019 coronavirus disease.

“The Department of Health’s coming to visit our livelihood project in Qwaqwa brought us relief and happiness, because [as we all know there is] the ongoing pandemic and its impact to the lives of many,” the Southern Africa Ecclesiastical District supervising minister Brother Sheridohn Santos said.

The medical team, composed of doctors and nurses, first held an orientation during which they informed the factory workers about the importance of getting vaccinated against Covid-19. Over 300 workers registered and were vaccinated.

After getting vaccinated, the workers of the garment factory received food parcels from the Church Administration through the Church’s Aid to Humanity outreach program. Brother Santos led Church members in the distribution of the relief packages, as well as copies of Pasugo: God’s Message magazine.

“That has always been the guidance given to us by the Church Administration—do good. Share something good to others, most especially the true faith that leads to salvation. This is what God wants for all of us [to do] to our fellowmen, our neighbors,” Brother Santos further said. — With reports from INC News Section
