Brother Felix Santos, district supervising minister, officiated at the dedication worship service. He emphasized to the brethren through the Bible the importance of the house of worship in their lives.
“It doesn’t matter what the season is, whether it is difficult or not, what matters for us, members of the Church Of Christ, is that we love the house of God where we worship God, pray to Him, and receive His commandments,” he said.
In compliance with Covid-19 guidelines, attendees followed the health and safety protocols during the dedication worship service. Other members attended through live streaming.
The renovation of the house of worship took four months—from August to November 2020. The brethren eagerly helped out in the beautification project. “Many made sacrifices and didn’t mind being tired or exhausted from work and yet still wanted a part in completing the renovation,” Brother Marvin Razon, the resident minister, said.
“With the approval of the rededication of our house of worship, that is another proof, manifestation of the love of God through our beloved Executive Minister,” Brother Marvin Razon, minister of the gospel, said.
Nonmembers have taken notice how more beautiful the chapel is after its renovation. “Neighbors have come up to me and said, ‘Oh, you attend that Church, don’t you?’ And I’ve said ‘Yes.’ And they’ve said, ‘Wow, it looks so beautiful’,” said Ian Henderson, one of the brethren.
The brethren expressed their feeling in going back to worship God in the house of worship. “I didn’t realize how much I missed going to the chapel for our worship services. It always feels good to come here to be with God and to ask Him for His help and guidance in the things that we do every day of our lives,” Ian said.
Church Of Christ members continue to uphold their active services to God despite the current world condition as they intensify the work of propagation and further strengthen their faith.
“Because people now see the Church Of Christ as something of beauty, they more likely want to come in and hear the words of God. This house of worship dedication really inspired me and made me realize how close we are to God,” Ian added. — With reports from INC News Section
