Something beautiful arose in Zamboanga del Norte amid the pandemic—the new house of worship of the Iglesia Ni Cristo in Punta, one of the constituent barangays of Dipolog City, the capital of the province.
Hours before its dedication service on March 6, 2021, Church members from the Local Congregation of Punta, Ecclesiastical District of Zamboanga del Norte started lining up at the gates of the newly built house of prayer, while observing basic health protocols.
The brethren joyfully witnessed its dedication to God through a special worship service officiated by the district supervising minister, Brother Rogelio La Plana Jr. He emphasized from the Bible the importance of the house of worship in the lives of Church Of Christ members and why it is just right and proper for them to give the holy edifice utmost reverence and care.
With God’s help and the brethren’s unified efforts to help in its building amid the pandemic, the house of worship’s construction was finished in just two years, with 506 seating capacity. This was the recent addition to the district's construction boom. Since January last year, the district has built six barangay chapels and more houses of worship are being constructed.
The resident minister, Brother Ronaldo Nasol, said that this profound blessing has greatly impacted the brethren's lives as they dedicate themselves in worshiping God at all times. It also provided them opportunities on how they could all the more unite with the current Church campaign of intensifying further the work of propagation of the true faith. “Even nonmembers, primarily our brethren’s relatives and acquaintances, wanted to come inside this house of worship,” he added.
On behalf of the congregation, he enthused, “Our hearts could not contain our happiness for having been gifted by God with this new and beautiful house of worship. All praises be unto Him.” — With reports from INC News Section
