“The brethren here in the Local Congregation of Sta. Teresita wholeheartedly responded to the call of Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, our Executive Minister, to further intensify the work of propagation,” attested Brother Jervine Lapada, resident minister.
As a result of the brethren’s diligence in propagation, a baptism of new faithfuls was conducted at their house of worship on March 29, 2022. The Sta. Teresita Congregation is one of the 40 congregations of the Pampanga North Ecclesiastical District.
Brother Bright Ballesteros, district supervising minister, officiated the holy gathering. Citing the Bible, he taught the candidates for baptism the great advantage of being a member of the Church Of Christ in facing life’s adversities, and most especially in attaining salvation come the Day of Judgment.
One of those who were baptized that day was Anthony Tamayo, a former Born Again Christian. “I had questions,” he recalled, “which were answered in the Iglesia Ni Cristo.” His desire to know the truth led him to his conversion to the Church.
On behalf of the brethren in Sta. Teresita, Brother Lapada, promised, “We will not stop in propagating our faith so that more people will be saved on the Second Advent of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Active in sharing the true faith, Mercy Villaganas, a deaconess, said, “I really make an effort to I invite my friends and neighbors especially when there are evangelical missions. I don’t expect anything; whenever I invite others, all I’m thinking of is that I will do my part and God will be the One to call [who will join the Church].” — With reports from Jensen DG. Mañebog
