More Fijians were baptized into the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ). The recent baptism of those who embraced the true Christian faith was held on January 14, 2023 in a river in Koronubu, Ba, Fiji.
Among those baptized was Vishal Pillay, a former elder of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. “Before, I was not agreeing with all the doctrines that they were teaching so that led me to search for the truth,” he said.
As he was introduced to the Church and eventually received true baptism, he conveyed, “I’m so grateful that God brought me to the truth. I felt like I’m free from all the confusions that I had and I’m now enlightened. I know that when the Lord Jesus Christ comes, He will take me to our Father [in heaven].” The day of his baptism was even more blessed as Vishal’s family was also baptized inside the Church.
Before their baptism, the would-be members from the Ba, Fiji Group Worship Services (GWS) gathered at their place of worship to receive further biblical instructions led by Brother Dennis Dahunan, district supervising minister.
Brother Benito Sumang III, district edification overseer, in an interview, said, “I hope and pray that Brother Vishal and his family and all other newly baptized brethren will remain active members inside the Church. May they be able to continue fulfilling their duties especially in sharing the true faith so that many more people will be called by our Lord God.”
To those who are also searching for the truth, Vishal, relayed, “Please don’t miss the chance if you’re being invited by any member of the Church to study God’s words written in the Scriptures so that you’ll also have the chance of entering the Holy City and attain eternal life that God has promised to us.” — With reports from INC News Section
