The members of the Local Congregation of Melbourne, Victoria, Ecclesiastical District of Australia West on April 15, 2023 joined hands to clean up a riverbank in the neighboring city of Maribyrnong.
To be of help in maintaining beauty and cleanliness of the environment, the brethren cleared the riverbank and pathways in Maribyrnong City’s Edgewater Park, as well as Cumberland Drive, of litter and debris.
Besides showing concern for nature and the environment, the activity served as “family bonding and team building as well among the brethren,” according to Brother Robert Santos, minister of the gospel, who led the clean-up activity.
“It strengthens their love for the brotherhood as they share the same intent of doing these acts of kindness, one of which is their unity with the Church Administration,” he clarified.
He further said that the Church Administration can expect the brethren from Melbourne “to always support the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) activities and propagation efforts, in order to take part and contribute to the fast growth of the Church.” — With reports from Emmylou Sanchez of INC News Section
