Lending a Helping Hand in Connecticut

Date Posted: November 11, 2020

WINDSOR, Connecticut — The Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) or Church Of Christ continues to extend assistance to people who may be in need through its Aid to Humanity project.

INC members prepared 1,000 care packages which included essential goods and toiletries.

The care packages were delivered to the Department of Rehabilitation Services in Windsor, Connecticut and entrusted to Commissioner Amy Porter of the Department of Aging and Disability Services.

The items will be distributed to families or individuals, especially those who may be affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Andrew Norton, the Legislative Director of the Department of Aging and Disability Services, stated: “One way we can take your Aid to Humanity and put it to good use is to get to people who may be stuck at home. I think they [the recipients] will feel good. They’ll be thankful. It’s nice to know that there are people who care enough to make this effort.”

Humanitarian efforts of the INC like this aim to provide a positive support for people, especially in times of difficulties.

Under the leadership of INC Executive Minister Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, socio-civic projects, such as Aid to Humanity, aim to reach out to communities, especially to those lacking in resources and services in different parts of the world.
