The Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), through the Felix Y. Manalo Foundation, extended humanitarian assistance to two Muslim communities in the Philippines’s National Capital Region on May 29, 2021.

In separate turnover programs, representatives of the Church’s charitable arm handed over 10,000 relief packages in donation to Muslim leaders in Maharlika Village, Taguig City and more than 4,000 relief packages in Salam Compound, Barangay Culiat, Quezon City.

“This is not the first time,” Ameerah Ibrahim, Culiat barangay councilor, said. “Since 1996 when we started living here, I have observed how the Iglesia Ni Cristo members hold Aid to Humanity in our community every year, whether we’re struck by calamities or fire incident, mostly now that there is a pandemic crisis—the Iglesia Ni Cristo helps. Thank you so much. We will never forget [the] Church’s help.”

“This aid the Church Of Christ does, especially to our Muslim fellowmen, is truly a great help for their respective families, as many are struggling here in our barangay when it comes to their basic needs, primarily food,” said Victor Bernardo, Culiat barangay captain. “We’re overwhelmed with joy.
