February 16, 2023 was added as a special date in the history of the Church Of Christ in Hobart, the capital city of the Australian state island of Tasmania.
On that day the Hobart Group Worship Service (GWS), organized as such in 1982 after a year as a committee prayer group, saw itself elevated to the status of a full-fledged local congregation following the approval of the Church Administration a week earlier.
The Hobart Local Congregation’s members, along with other brethren, marked this development with the inaugural worship service they held on that momentous day at the Moonah Arts Centre in Tasmania.
Brother Romeo E. Beltran, the Ecclesiastical District of Australia West’s supervising minister, officiated at the historic occasion, preaching about the ones who will be blessed on the Second Advent of the Lord Jesus Christ. They are the members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), he proved using the Bible, for they are the ones redeemed with Christ’s blood and, thus, received the right to conduct worship that God accepts.
Conveying the shared sentiment of the brethren from Hobart, Brother Danilo Caraig, resident minister, enthused, “This is a great blessing from Him, a great victory of the Church here in Australia. We thank and praise the Lord God.” ― With reports from INC News Section
