PANGASINAN, PHILIPPINES―Brethren from the Ecclesiastical District of Sto. Tomas, Pangasinan participated in a blood donation activity conducted at San Jose Elementary School, Sto. Tomas, Pangasinan on April 6, 2019.
First time donors, although anxious at first, were joyful for the chance to help those in need. Regular donors continue to donate blood not only for the health benefits but also to fulfill God’s command to give to the needy.
Donors underwent blood screening before donating blood.
A total of 68 blood bags were collected in the activity.
“Many beneficiaries will receive this amount of blood, especially patients in hospitals,” said Rixa Gonzalo, a nurse and medical representative.
Alexis Marquez, Community-based Mobile Blood Donation coordinator of Region 1, said that he noticed “the participation of the Church members and how they are ready to unite in this humanitarian act for all people, members and nonmembers alike.” ― With reports from INC News Section
