EUROPE—In line with the upcoming 25th anniversary of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in Rome, Italy, the Ecclesiastical District of Southern Europe conducted a blood donation activity on March 24 and 31, 2019.
Many Church members from Italy, Cyprus, and Greece qualified to donate blood. One of them Mariz Ponce, a choir member from the Local Congregation of Rome, said, “It was a beautiful experience, especially for me as it is my first time to donate blood.”
In Rome, after the blood donation, the Croce Rossa Italiana or the Italian Red Cross presented a short demonstration of first-aid giving and life-saving procedures. Felice Pistoia, Committee President, said, “We move through bloodmobile. Our part is more about the coordination, training, and the promotion. The bigger part is done by the donors. We move forward, thanks to your generosity. It is all thanks to you if there are groups that can search for blood to save lives because a person can save up to three lives. Every drop of blood is 100% helpful.” ― With reports from INC News Section
