OTTAWA, CANADA—Brethren from the Local Congregation of Ottawa, Ecclesiastical District of Ottawa, Canada showed support to volunteers in preparing sandbags as a measure against potential flooding.
The city of Ottawa was put in a state of emergency in view of the possible flooding, as the water level in the Ottawa River had risen due to heavy rains combined with the melting of snow.
The brethren gathered at Britannia Park on April 27, 2019 to aid volunteers in preparing sandbags to hold back flood waters to protect homes located within the flood zone. — With reports from INC New Section
