ALBERTA, CANADA—In Sherwood Park, east of the City of Edmonton, a local congregation was established for the benefit of the brethren in the community. Brethren throughout the Ecclesiastical District of Edmonton gathered at the Whitecroft Community League in April 6, 2019 for the inaugural worship service of the newly established Local Congregation of Sherwood Park.
Brother Voltaire Tamisin, district supervising minister, officiated at the gathering. Through the Holy Scriptures, he emphasized the need for members of the Church Of Christ to endure trials and difficulties in life to prove the genuineness of their faith in God. He reminded them that God fulfills His promises to His obedient and patient servants.
Brother Eugene Agustin, a ministerial worker assigned in the ecclesiastical district, said that it was through God’s help that the congregation was established. “The Church officers had to go to various locations to find a place for their worship services. Even a year before, they were already recruiting officers who can help in the needs of their local [congregation],” he said.
Brethren from the district expressed their deepest gratitude to the Lord God and to the Church Administration for the establishment of the congregation. — With reports from INC News Section
