CALIFORNIA—As part of their intensified efforts in the field of propagation, brethren in the Ecclesiastical District of Northwest California made their way to Calistoga, California on March 17, 2019 and conducted an evangelical mission and Aid to Humanity.
“This place was devastated by fire,” said Brother Esteban Inocencio, the district supervising minister who preached God’s words in the said activity. “And we came back to this place to be able to help our fellowmen who are here. A lot of our brethren, as well as their friends and acquaintances, who were affected by the fire, are still struggling until today. We will help, not only with the [material] things that they need but also with their spiritual well-being,” he added.
Cynthia Stasse, from the Local Congregation of Santa Rosa, said they were reaching out to the neighborhood and the people who have been wanting to know about the Iglesia Ni Cristo. “We are gathered here today to fulfill that goal because here in the city of Calistoga, there are many people who are curious in what’s this about. We can invite more people here,” she exclaimed.
The guests whom the brethren invited received care packages prepared through the INC Giving project. Christian Family Organizations (CFO) members assisted in distributing the packages.
“One of our goal is to reach out to the community, extend what we can extend to them—a helping hand. But above all, the help that we can offer is for them to know God’s commandments which we all need to obey so that we’ll be closer to God,” said Brother Esteban. — With reports from INC News Section
