The Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) in the Ecclesiastical District of Lingayen, Pangasinan recently collaborated with Region 1 Medical Center-Dagupan City, in the same Philippine province, to conduct blood donation drive.
The humanitarian endeavor, which occurred at the chapel compound of the Dagupan City Local Congregation on February 25, 2023, drew the enthusiastic participation of many brethren from all congregations in the district who were moved by their desire to help those in need, as the Bible teaches.
“We, members of the Church Of Christ, engage in outreach activities, such as blood donations, because doing so is a commandment of God, that is, to love our fellowmen, Church members or not,” Mares Polene Quebral, district CMDPS president, explained.
One of volunteer blood donors, Ricardo Miranda Jr, head deacon of the Calmay Congregation, said, “It’s an honor to be of service to others. And, my participation in the blood donation drive is my response to the call of the Church Administration that we have concern to our fellowmen.”
“It’s pleasing to see the unity and kindness the brethren exemplified by participating in this blood donation activity,” observed Brother Joeren Jimenez, resident minister of the Dagupan City Congregation. “We thank Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the Executive Minister, for giving us this opportunity of extending assistance to other people and, most of all, to fulfill our Christian duty and obligation to the Lord.” — With reports from INC News Section
