As the fourth outreach event hosted by the Ecclesiastical District of Latin America in the month of April, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members there held a Care for Humanity event to benefit their fellowmen, particularly Colombians, whose country is a three-hour plane trip from Mexico City where the district office is situated.
Held on April 22, 2023, this humanitarian activity that was led by Brother Jonathan Jamias, district supervising minister, was held at a multipurpose building in Barrio Bilbao, Suba, Bogota, Colombia. Being the nearest to the venue, brethren from the North Bogota, Colombia Group Worship Service (GWS) spearheaded in inviting and bringing along guests.
In the activity, Brother Jamias briefly introduced to the guests the Church Of Christ and its socio-civic undertakings worldwide. Afterwards, he and other brethren handed over care packages.
“We owe the success of this activity to the Almighty Father. He hears our supplications that the Church’s efforts in this part of the world be brought into fruition,” Brother Jamias enthused.
Currently, there are three Group Worship Services (GWS) in Colombia, which are situated in Medellin, North Bogota, and South Bogota. — With reports from Fernanda Velarde of INC News Section
