On the instruction of the Church Administration, the Ecclesiastical District of Camarines Norte in the Philippines donated relief packages to the Camarines Norte province, Philippines for the benefit of persons with disabilities (PWDs).
The Lingap sa Mamamayan (Aid to Humanity) took place at the municipal hall of Daet town on December 8, 2020. Health and safety protocols were strictly followed.
Brother Rowell De Lara, district supervising minister, led the turn-over of 2,000 relief packages to the local government, which then gave these right away to the beneficiaries with help from other ministers, and the government officials.
Mrs. Jobelle Mago, president of the Person with Disability Affairs Office (PDAO) in Camarines Norte and a member of the Church Of Christ, said, “We wrote a letter to the Church Administration that an aid like this be allowed here. Quickly, it was approved. We are so thankful to the Church Administration.”
On behalf of the PWD community, Mayor Benito Ochoa said, “Thank you very much to the Iglesia Ni Cristo and its Administration.” Vice Mayor Rosa Mia King added, “Because of this Aid to Humanity, our PWDs are now delighted.” — With reports from INC News Section
