Brethren from the Ecclesiastical District of Mountain Province conducted a tree planting activity in Barangay Sapid, Mankaya in Benguet, Philippines on October 30, 2019.
Brother Rodel Barrera, district supervising minister, spearheaded the activity.
The brethren planted pine trees because, according to studies, their roots are good in preventing soil erosion and landslide. Pine trees also serve as watersheds or a source of clean water, which is needed by the residents.
Some participants also brought with them their children to make them aware even at an early age of how to care for the environment and teach them to take part in the activities of the Church. ― With reports from INC News Section
