Moved by their faith in the Christian principle of genuine charity, members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) belonging to the Ishida Group Worship Service (GWS), in the Ecclesiastical District of Nagoya, Japan, volunteered to donate to a blood center in Kyoto, Japan on July 10, 2022.
The brethren held their blood donation drive at the Kyoto Seki Jyuuji Blood Center itself which is located at the 763 Higashiotecho, Fushimi-ku, Kyoto Wakayu Bldg. 1F in Kyoto, Japan.
Members of the Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) of the district assisted the brethren from Ishida in the said humanitarian activity.
“The blood you [donated to] us will be sent to the Blood Center in Osaka,” said Shinya Nakano, the blood center’s manager. “I hope that more and more organizations like you will continue to do so,” he added as he thanked the Church Of Christ.
On behalf of the brethren in Ishida GWS, Hermie Calaunan, head deacon, expressed, “We wholeheartedly thank our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, for [launching] this kind of activity inside the Church Of Christ. This serves as an inspiration for us to all the more be enthusiastic in participating in all the Church’s endeavors.” — With reports from INC News Section and Hirotsuka Nogami
