Baptisms increase membership in two Mindanao districts

On September 24, 2021, two ecclesiastical districts in Mindanao saw the brethren’s efforts in winning people over to the Church Of Christ bear abundant fruits  through baptisms.

In the Ecclesiastical District of Davao Oriental, the candidates for baptism gathered at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Madang for their much-awaited day of baptism. Brother Wilfred Sacayanan, district supervising minister, officiated the holy gathering. During the study of God’s words, he reminded the baptismal candidates that God expects His true servants to always fully renew their lives so that no matter when the Second Advent of Christ is, they are prepared to meet the Lord and attain the salvation promised to them.

Among the newly baptized brethren, Daveryl Bantayan, expressed, “I was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. I am very grateful because now that I am baptized in the Church Of Christ, I have received the hope of salvation. So, I will strive to help in all the activities launched in the Church.”

Meanwhile, in the Ecclesiastical District of Bukidnon, Brother Alnorfo Jurada, district supervising minister, officiated the holy baptism held in the house of worship of the Valencia City Local Congregation.

In his Bible-based preaching, he reminded the attendees concerning the great benefits the true baptism brings. Hence, all that are baptized into the true Church should remain faithful to God and completely obey His commandments.

“I am happy because I and my family are now members of the Church Of Christ,” said Gregorio Dora, a newly baptized member. “I thank God because He allowed me to understand His words. I will uphold my worship services [to God].

Thankful to God for the success of the recent baptism held in their district, Brother Dexter Tubig, district Light of Salvation (LOS) overseer, promised, “The Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, can always count on the ministers and ministerial workers, together with the Church officers and members, in being one with him in the intensified work of propagation.”

During the said gatherings, the two provinces where the two districts are situated were under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).  — With reports from INC News Section
