Members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) from the Local Congregation of Bangsar, Ecclesiastical District of Malaysia on July 30, 2022 donated to the Food Aid Foundation in support of its programs for its beneficiaries.
The foundation is “a non-profit governmental organization” that distributes food donations to “charitable/welfare homes, volunteer welfare organizations, refugees community, poor families, destitute, and soup kitchens,” its literature stated.
The delegation of brethren that delivered the donation, which was led by Brother McDaniel Martinez, resident ministerial worker, was welcomed by Chef Neoh Kean Soon, the Operations Manager of the foundation, at the foodbank’s main office situated at No. 9 Jalan 7/118B, Desa Tun Razak, Cheras, 56000 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
“Although the pandemic is slowing down, there’s still a lot of families that need our support to move forward in the next phase of their lives. I’d like to thank the Church Of Christ and Brother Eduardo Manalo for having this kind of food donation activity for providing help to our Malaysian community,” said Chef Neoh Kean Soon.
“We are so grateful [for the opportunity] that in our own little way, we are able to provide food for those people in this part of the world who are in need,” said Kevin Monreal, on behalf of the brethren who helped out in the said outreach activity.
“The purpose of this activity is to heed the call of the Church Administration, as what is also taught in the Bible ‘to do good to those who need it,’” said Brother Martinez.
In a certificate handed to the brethren after the activity, Rick Chee, founder of Food Aid Foundation in Malaysia, wrote, “Thank you to the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) for your exemplary support in the time of need.” — With reports from INC News Section
