Even at a time when the world and people’s way of life seem to have slowed down because of the pandemic, the Church Of Christ’s work of propagating has never declined. In fact, membership in its districts, such as the Ecclesiastical District of Manitoba in Canada continues to grow.
On January 2, 2021, the district added new members during a baptism held at the newly dedicated house of worship of Saskatoon Local Congregation.
The district supervising minister, Brother Sidney Santos, led the holy gathering of the baptismal candidates prior to the baptism proper. His preaching of the words of God in the Bible to them was vital in preparing them for the last step in joining the true Church and, thus, receive the spiritual graces it brings.
Other Church members from the district witnessed the said gathering through live video conferencing from the confines of their homes because of the government restrictions due to the pandemic.
As the Church Of Christ continues to grow in this part of the world, brethren remembered their humble beginnings. Before, the local congregation only consists of few households. But, through their unity with the Church Administration and the help of the Almighty God, they witnessed the continuous growth of the Church.
The holy baptism is a manifestation of how God fulfills His promises to His chosen people. The brethren in this part of the world will continue to unite with the Church Administration and remain active in the works of propagation.
The event was conducted in compliance with Covid-19 precautions and government regulations. — With reports from INC News Section
